Course Instructor: Dominic Jude #449-401 Cost: $360.00 Per Person (min. 4 divers per class) The PADI Weed Control Course teaches you the proper techniques to removing aquatic invasive plants (variable leafed milfoil, fanwort ect.) by reinforcing diving skills already learned in your Open Water Class such as buoyancy and navigation. It also introduces new skills that allows you to confidently identify and remove aquatic invasive plants without causing more harm than good. Included: 1.) Theory and Course Material 2.) 2 Lake/Pond Dives 3.) Dive Equipment Rental (Except Wetsuit, Booties, Snorkel, Fins and Mask*) 4.) PADI Certification Fee 5.) Start up Package (2 Hand Harvesting Bags, Tether, Reel with Line and Dive Flag) Prerequisites for this course: 1.) PADI Open Water Certification or equivalent 2.) Signed Medical Statement and Liability Waiver Aqualogic Dive and Guide will provide all necessary equipment for this course except for wetsuit, booties, snorkel, fins and mask. These items are the bare minimum that a PADI Weed control should have. Remember you are becoming a dive professional. These items can be purchased prior to class from our mobile dive shop. Aqualogic Dive and Guide encourages all PADI Weed Control Divers to pursue professional levels of certification (i.e. PADI Divemaster, PADI OW Instructor). Harvesting Aquatic Invasive Weeds is a Dive Profession and should be treated as such. By becoming a PADI Weed Control Diver, you will be learning a trade that is needed all around the world using the international language of SCUBA. There will be limited availability for this course. Changes and Cancellation Policy by Clients You are able to change or cancel the date of your activity at the discretion of AquaLogic Dive and Guide provided you give 48 hours notice. Cancellations that are not due to medical conditions will receive 50% return on your deposit. Cancellations due to medical conditions, which do not allow the client to participate in the activity booked, we will require a Medical Statement from a Doctor. We will do everything to try and reschedule the activity but if this is not possible we will provide you with a full refund. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice, or if the client fails to show, will result in no refund.
